1. A Carrier is a bearer and transmitter of a agent capable of causing infectious disease.

Notes: An asymptomatic carrier shows no symptoms of carrying an infectious agent.

2. A person or animal that harbors a specific infectious agent without visible symptoms of the disease. A carrier acts as a potential source of infection.
