Awareness

1.
Awareness aims to focus attention and create understanding of basic BCM and DR concerns. It is knowing or having knowledge of something through alertness or observing or interpolating what with the basic senses.

Note: It is intended to enable staff to recognize these BCM and DR concerns and respond accordingly. Examples of creating such awareness includes distribution of posters and flyers targeted at organization-wide audience or conducting specific business continuity briefings for the executive management of the organization. Awareness is less formal than training and is generally targeted at all staff in the organization. It forms part of the awareness, training and education learning continuum.
