1. A Parallel Test requires the processing functionality to be tested at the alternate site.

Note: Parallel test will actually allow the organization to find out if the DR plan actually works. An example is the confirmation that when a procedure requires the application to be started, the personnel responsible will start the application at the alternate site. It requires the personnel to actually perform the steps in their response procedures.
