1. External Communication is the communications to external stakeholders to educate, increase awareness and generate acceptance regarding a disruptive event or crisis situation.


Notes (1): Communications strategies may include media relations, special events, investor relations and community relations.

Notes (2)': There are two types of external communication: press communication (or media relations) and communication aimed at the general public or specific external target groups.
