1. Test is an activity performed to validate certain capabilities of the plans relative to specified objectives or established criteria.
Note (2): If the term "Test" is used in conjunction with "Exercise", the difference will be in "Test"; the result can be quantified as "Pass" or "Fail".

A pass/fail evaluation of infrastructure (example-computers, cabling, devices, hardware) and\or physical plant infrastructure (example-building systems, generators, utilities) to demonstrate the anticipated operation of the components and system. A test can also be used to demonstrate whether all or parts of the Business Continuity Plan are fit for purpose.
