Tan Puay Kern (PK) is the Vice President of Security of Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd (MBS)

Career Highlights

He is responsible for the security, investigations, crisis management and business continuity for the entire integrated resort, which includes a casino, a 2600-room hotel, MICE facilities, retail mall, two theatres, a museum and other public facilities.

Before joining MBS, PK had served with the Singapore Police Force (SPF) for 25 years. He retired in 2007, holding the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police. He is an experienced officer with many years of excellent track record in the SPF and has extensive knowledge and skills in law enforcement, investigations, crime prevention, intelligence, security, incident and crisis management, media engagement, internal communications, project management, event management and corporate social responsibility programmes. In short, PK had worked in various positions within the SPF as well as the Singapore Prisons Department and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Qualification

Puay Kern graduated from the Oxford University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Engineering Science and Economics in 1985. He obtained his Masters in Public Administration at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in 1995.
