Recovery Procedure: Registration of Patient
- WHAT
- Capture patients' attendance by entering patients' particulars and required services into Patient Information System
Pre-Crisis
- HOW
- Update list of changes of all polyclinic services
- Update SOPs
- Update staff list
- Update patients' database and cull records of patients at regular intervals according with the retention period prescribed for patients' records.
Recovery & Resumption
Within T+24 hours
- HOW
- Redeploy Customer Service Officers to alternate polyclinic based on anticipated increase in workload.
- Register redirected patients as new patients in alternate polyclinics as per SOP.
- Open new folders for redirected patients.
After T+24 hours
- HOW
- Retrieve (from Patient Information System) the list of patients (with chronic medical condition) of the affected polyclinic and who are scheduled for appointments for the next 3 days to:
- Inform patients via telephone calls of the closure of the polyclinic;
- Inform patients of the alternate polyclinics where they can seek continued medical care;
- Make appointments for patients to attend alternate polyclinics' sessions.
- Retrieve (from Patient Information System) the list of patients (with chronic medical condition) of the affected polyclinic and who are scheduled for appointments for the next 3 days to:
- Send letters to patients (with chronic medical condition) who are scheduled for appointments for consultation from the 4th to the 14th day of crisis to inform them of the above.
