Dr Lim Yew Ban is the Chief Learning Officer with BCM Institute.

Past Employment

He has over 10 years of training and lecturing experience at the professional, post graduate and doctoral level. Dr Lim also undertook the design and development of professional courseware in close consultation with industry practitioners and is involved in recruitment, interview and recommendation of IT professionals for MNC clients.

In his previous appointments, Dr Lim was an Information System officer tasked with the design of education software. Subsequently, he managed the day to day operations computer systems and a computer centre at an MNC; from resource planning, end user training, networking, and systems administration to database management.

Professional Contribution in the Area of BCM

Yew Ban has also participated as a researcher, workgroup member and editor of the following 2 national standards on BCM, namely, Singapore Standard for Business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR) service provider spearheaded by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, and the Business Continuity Management for Manufacturing, Innovation and Services spearheaded by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF).

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from National University of Singapore (NUS)
  • Master of Business (Information Technology) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology
  • PhD from the University of South Australia.
