Currently, Zalina heads the Risk Management Department in Malaysia Airports. Ms Zalina Jaflus is also actively involved in industrial, professional and academic bodies with her advisory roles in developing standards and education module in Risk Management.



This includes her attachment with The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII), Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia, Department of Standards Malaysia, SIRIM, Malaysian Insurance Institute and Malaysian Association of Risk and Insurance Management (MARIM).


With Malaysia Airports since 2006, Ms Zalina Jaflus successfully implemented the Enterprise Risk Management program , developed the Departmental Risk Register and Corporate Risk Profile, completed the Business Continuity Management program for KLIA and LCCT with the successful implementation of a simulation involving the airport’s Aerodrome and introduced and implemented Whistleblowing program in Malaysia Airports .


In her earlier days, Ms Zalina Jaflus started her career in the Insurance industry in Underwriting, reinsurance and Marketing for nearly 8 years before joining Celcom to head the insurance department. She was instrumental in creating the department to become a full fledge Risk Management Division, and responsible for risk management and OSH.


Ms Zalina Jaflus was trained at the Chartered Insurance Institute, having attained her tertiary education in University Teknologi Malaysia (UiTM) and Diploma in Risk Management from Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII).
