1. Drift 漂移是指流感病毒经历突变的过程。

注：突变量既可以是细微的也可以是巨大的，但当漂移最终发生时，一个新的变异病毒株将会出现。漂移过程允许流感病毒在其生命期中可以发生变异并反复地重新感染人，这就是疫苗中的流感病毒株必须每年更换的原因。
