Ashish Dahiya, BCCE, Sr. Expert (Manager) – BCM, Amdocs

Ashish is currently working with M/s Amdocs Development centre Ltd. as Sr. BCM expert since May 2008 handling Amdocs (India & APAC region) Corporate BCM end to end implementation activities. Directing in the development of Business Continuity plans and procedures and providing regular status updates to the Business Continuity team. Participates in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of business continuity plans and strategies as per BS 25999 standards and other international standards such as ISO: 27001, ITIL & ISO: 20000. Overall he has worked in all aspects of Business Continuity at time as BC process improvement consultant, BC Automation software SME (LDRPS & COOP), BC Planner, Risk Assessment, Business Impact Analysis, DR Test lead/coordinator, BC Audit, Advisor and BC project manager. In Amdocs, he has handled various real time incidents like h1n1 swine flu, Egypt undersea fibre cable cut and Power outages scenarios etc.He have been awarded “Program Leader of the Year 2012” by DRI International, USA in the field of BCM excellence.

He started his career as a Subject Matter Expert in UNIX & Windows Environment. They had huge mainframe computers and heat dissipating hardware. In 2002, when he was working with COMSAT MAX India, he was introduced to the concept of DRP and was given the chance to setup a DR Environment. He was instantly hooked to the concept, to know how important the process of Backup and restore is for an organization to have continuity of service and hence, Business. In the coming years, when working with Airtel, COMODO Infosys, he grasped more of the Business Continuity Knowledge and groomed it as one of my Major Skills. The past 11 years (10 years for BCM) have provided him with many opportunities to apply his experience and education in some very diverse situations like Information Technology Service Management services, BCP DRP planning & implementation, Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, and Property, Facilities Management and Procurement functions, System/Backup Administration.

Overall he is an Architect with abilities to implement technologically sound and manageable business continuity solutions that manage the risks for an organization in the event that all or part of its operations and information systems services are rendered unusable and aid the organization to recover from the effect of such events.
