Notes (1): During the project management stage, the policy will, typically, specify the key phases in the CMP project (or planning methodology), the main activities and deliverables for each phase. The policy should not specify detailed activities and tasks for each CMP project.

Notes (2): During the program management stage, the policy is a set of basic principles and associated guidelines, formulated and enforced by the crisis management team, to direct and limit its actions in pursuit of crisis management long-term goals.
