1. Organization Level: The award of a BCM Certification to an organization with a certificate to confirm its compliance to a BCM Standard.

Notes: The award of the certification must include a formal audit by an independent and accredited body. It is sometime referred to the procedure and action, by a duly authorized body, of determining, verifying and attesting in writing to the qualifications of personnel, processes, procedures or items in accordance with applicable requirements.


2. Personal Level: Certification can also be awarded to an individual. The award a certificate to an individual is to verify that a person has achieved a a certain level of qualification. Related Term: Certification
