1. An Assay is an analysis done to determine the presence of a substance and the concentration of that substance such as infectious agents or antibodies.

2. An Assay is a quantitative or qualitative evaluation, or test, of a substance. Frequently used to describe tests of the presence or concentration of infectious agents or antibodies.
