Training Versus Awareness: What is the difference?

Note (1): Awareness is not training. The purpose of awareness presentations is to allow individuals to recognize business continuity management or operational resilience concerns and respond accordingly.

Note (2): Examples of creating such awareness include the distribution of posters and flyers targeted at organization-wide audience or conducting specific briefings for the executive management of the organization.

Note (3): Awareness is less formal than training and is generally targeted at all staff in the organization.

Note (4): Training and awareness forms part of the awareness, training and education learning continuum.
