1. Inter-dependencies can be summarized as the reliance of an organization's business functions, processes or systems with another within or external to the same operating environment.

Notes (1): This term is used during the Business Impact Analysis (BIA).

Notes (2): When used in Operational Resilience, they are the internal and external dependencies on people, processes, technology, and other resources (including those involving third parties) for each important or critical business service.
