Requirements for ORCS

The Operational Resilience Certified Specialist (ORCS) certification is designed and developed for middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Operational Resilience managers and planners. Relevant parties from Operational resilience, Operational risk, Non-financial risk, Compliance Cyber risk and resilience, IT risk and resilience, Operational Oversight and Management, and those in Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery and Security will have crossover responsibility for operational resilience. Candidates will be imparted with essential skills and knowledge of:

  • Module 1
    • Overview of Operational Resilience
    • Update on Regulatory Positions
    • Operational Resilience Planning Methodology: Framework, Principles and Cycle
    • Types of operational disruptions
    • Important-critical business services
    • Impact tolerances
    • Mapping operational resilience inter-dependencies across the organization
    • Types of scenario testing
  • Module 2
    • Build an operational resilience programme
    • Recognize and analyse types of operational disruptions
    • Identify critical business services
    • Set appropriate impact tolerances for critical business services
    • Map operational resilience across the organisation
    • Perform scenario testing
    • Improve and communicate lessons learnt

This course is a pre-requisite course for the OR-400 course.

Only an electronic certificate or e-certificate (softcopy) will be issued for all successful applications. However, a hardcopy certificate is also available upon request from the online store: SGD 50 (not inclusive of courier charges)
