1. Exercise Safety Officer is an officer with BCM responsibilities assigned to ensure that any actions during the BCM test and exercise are conducted safely.

Notes (1) : Usually relevant to a "live play" exercise.

Notes (2) : The Exercise Safety Officer should be involved from the planning of the exercise and testing until after the debriefing ([SOURCE: ISO 22300])
