1. An example of a scope of the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) is "Activities associated with the management and provision of <XXX> products and services under agreement <xyz> with organzation."

Notes (1): The scope statement is designed to accommodate the expansion of <XXX> and the addition and/or withdrawal of services.

Notes (2): When defining the scope of BCMS, the organization will need to consider the organization's mission and goals; internal and external obligations; legal and regulatory responsibilities; and interested parties.
