1. This Business Continuity or BC life cycle consists of the 6 “Rs”. The time period where each “R” is implemented is as follows:
Note (1): BC Life Cycle: Reduce(R1), Response(R2), Resume(R3),Recover(R4), Restore(R5), Return(R6). Note (2): DR Life Cycle: Reduce(R1), Response(R2), Recover(R3), Re-sync(R4), Resume(R5), Return(R6).

2. The element of BCM concerned with the development and implementation of appropriate plans and arrangements to ensure continuity of critical activities, and the management of an incident.
