|1. Crisis Management Planning or CMP is the process to ensure that the overall coordination of an organization's response to a crisis, in an effective, timely manner, with the goal of avoiding or minimizing damage to the organization's profitability, reputation, or ability to operate.
2. A properly funded ongoing process supported by senior management to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to identify and analyze the adverse impact of crisis events, maintain viable recovery strategies, and provide overall coordination of the organization’s timely and effective response to a crisis.
