Danny Chan
Danny Chan is the Regional Director of Risk Management at Mastercard International Inc.
Past Employment
Prior to his current role at Mastercard International Inc, Danny was the Regional Director, Global Safety & Security for Mariott International Inc, Danny was the Regional Director, Global Safety & Security for Mariott International Inc where he handled numerous crises spanning man-made crisis like terrorism attacks to natural disasters like earthquake to major events like the Commonwealth and Olympic games. He handled among many cases, the Jakarta 2009 twin bombings, 2011 Japan earthquake/tsunami incident and more recently, the Korean Peninsula crisis.
Upon leaving the Army as a Captain with the Singapore Special Forces, Danny proceeded to develop, advice and train numerous law enforcement agencies and military tactical units around the world with Britam Defence (http://www.britamdefence.com/) before serving Fortune 500 and Government clients with Olive Group (http://www.olivegroup.com/) on four continents. Danny was then Director of Global Risk Assessments at iJET International Inc. (http://www.ijet.com/) which provided operational intelligence to 650 of the Fortune 2000 companies and numerous government agencies. At iJET International Inc., Danny also negotiated with pirates and kidnappers.
Qualification
Danny has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (Finance). He also attended the Strategic Leadership Programme at University of Oxford and the ISMA Leadership Programme at Georgetown University. Danny is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University and an Executive Fellow at the Essex Business School, University of Essex where he is pursuing his Doctorate.

In his free time, Danny volunteers as an Associate Mediator and coach with Singapore Mediation Centre & Small Claims Tribunals - The Subordinate Courts of Singapore and runs his micro social initiative organization called “Making a Difference”.
