Julius Tan received his Bachelor of Engineering from Multimedia University, Malaysia and started off his career as a Consulting Sales Engineer in Keyence Corporation, Japan's leading player in the field of sensors and measuring instruments.

As the Consultant Sales Engineer, he practises effective communication skills and executes sales strategy efficiently, with client focus as his priority. With his motivation, initiative and relentless drive for excellence, his career grew in leaps and bounds.

A mere nine months upon joining Keyence, Julius was promoted to the position of Senior Consulting Sales Engineer. In his new role as the team leader, he oversaw the planning of his team's sales strategy. His performance resulted in a significant increase in sales and brand recognition.

As the winner of Keyence's Global Sales Competition, Julius was also awarded the title of Best Sales Person, beating more than 600 participants from around the world. In recognition of his success, he was offered the role of Chief Consulting Sales Engineer.

Julius believes in performing at the outer reaches of his comfort zone and pushing the boundaries. Together with his desire to learn and explore new possibilities, he has since then joined several local companies taking on various sales and management responsibilites. His stints in these companies have allowed him to widen his knowledge, gain new experiences, and acquire and refine different business skill sets.

Currently, he is a dedicated Sales Manager in BCM Institute, a leading global Business Continuity (BC) & Disaster Recovery (DR) Institute. BCM Institute promotes and develops the disciplines of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) for a variety of industries and clients around the world. Here, he is in charge of business development and driving sales into the organization. His role also involves expanding BCM's current market base, and exploring and penetrating new markets for BCM's core businesses.
