Lee Chew Weng

Lee Chew Weng is the Emergency Preparedness Officer (Special Projects) in the Singapore Ministry of Transport (MOT). He has been doing emergency planning, emergency management, emergency preparedness and operational readiness for the past 18 years in MOT. Prior to joining MOT, he was an Army Lieutenant-Colonel in the Singapore Armed Forces. His crisis management experience includes air crash, maritime incident, service disruptions, disease outbreak, highway collapse and severe environmental situation. His emergency management training include courses conducted by the UK Emergency Planning College, US National Transportation Safety Board, FEMA Emergency Management Institute, US Department of Energy Radiation Academy, SWIRE Marine Training Centre and the Singapore Aviation Academy.
