1. Capability and Maturity Assessment is a snapshot of target processes with a snapshot of the current state of operational resilience practices (current capability) and to compare the expected activity level based on a maturity level.

Notes (1): The Three-Phase Approach of Capability and Maturity Assessment' steps used to implement is: (1) assess, (2) analyze and (3) address.

Notes (2): Capability Assessment targets individual processes with a snapshot of current operational resilience practices for each assessed process.

Notes (3): Maturity Assessment provides a snapshot of organisational operational resilience processes.  It can be limited to a single unit or department or targeted at the whole organization.

Notes (4): The Capability Level measures a process's implementation and performance

Notes (5): The Maturity Level is associated with focus areas and measures how these processes in the focus area achieve that particular capability level by collecting substantial underlying evidence to support enterprise goals
